For the last 33 years, the Clark Park Music and Arts Community has organized a bi-yearly, all volunteer, free festival in Clark Park at 43rd & Chester Ave. The festivals provide an excellent forum for residents to meet their neighbors and benefit from the artistic wealth of Philadelphia. Responding to the needs of a changing community, the festival has grown in scope to include children’s events & activities, arts and crafts vending, a greater diversity of performances to include all kinds of music, dance and theater, and a chance for non profit organizations to reach the neighborhood about all sorts of issues. Everyone performs gratis at this truly grassroots day of fun and volunteers of all kinds from anywhere are encouraged to participate.

This year’s festival is shaping up to be a real crowd pleaser with more diversity than ever. Area restaurants will be cooking up something delicious right on the premises. Children’s activities will abound with face painting, and various arts & crafts.
