CALLING ALL FLASH MOBBERS

We were very fortunate in terms of the effects of Hurricane Isabel in
our community. However, we do have litter and debris from the storm
on our city streets. The City needs you! We are asking all
residents to come out of your house, apartment or dorms. Grab a
broom, pick up a shovel and join us across the city to remove the
debris and remnants of hurricane Isabel. Clean ups will begin at
10:00 am and end at 12 noon on Saturday, September 20. Send this
message to five other people who love Philadelphia like you do.

Here's how you can help:

Sweep your sidewalk and along curbline.
Bag debris and litter and hold it for your next scheduled trash and
        recycling collection day.
Help the elderly or disabled with cleaning in front of their property
Clear debris away from sewer inlets near your home.

After the cleanup, plan to contact the Philadelphia More Beautiful
Committee at 215-685-3981 to find out how you can work with your
neighbors and surrounding community to keep your block clean.

To thank the citizens of Philadelphia for their support, the Streets
Department will be giving away raffle tickets, other goodies and
selected prizes. Celebrities will be visiting various locations
throughout the City on Saturday, September 20 between the hours of
10:00 am and 12 noon to distribute these giveaways to individuals
found cleaning up after hurricane Isabel.
