I recommend this highly.  I went in April and now have a great batch of compost working in the backyard after throwing in our vegetable scraps and non-weed yard detritus all summer.  For a few years I've worked the little bits of compost I've had into a couple flower beds and it's amazing what it can do for typical West Philly soil.  I can't wait to start spreading around my official compost bin black gold.   Bruce McCullough   In a message dated 10/7/03 9:55:59 AM Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: The City of Philadelphia Streets Department is pleased to invite residents to the following free composting workshop: South Philadelphia -- Saturday, October 18th, 1:30 p.m. South Philadelphia Branch Library, 1700 South Broad Street Training programs are about two hours in length.  After completing the workshop, Philadelphia residents are urged to join the Recycling through Composting Team.
