Hello I've seen a number of flea market posts around, so below is mine. Please read it thoroughly, since the flea market we are organizing is actually a fundraiser, and we could use help. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and help out/vend if you wish!
Thanks. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MAIN CONTACT, VENDOR CONTACT: Gina Renzi 215-573-3234 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.foundationarts.org ADDITIONAL CONTACT: Tricia Gdowik [EMAIL PROTECTED] Check out unique arts, crafts, and wares - while supporting a one-of-a- kind community performance space - at The Rotunda this December 14th! PHILADELPHIA, PA - November, 2003 - The Foundation at The Rotunda will be holding a one-day fundraising Flea Market on December 14, 2003, from 11am-5pm! Due to budget cuts and rising expenses, The Foundation, which is the student and community group that maintains The Rotunda, needs your help to keep its level of community programming consistent for the 2004 calendar year. Over the past few years, The Foundation has presented free, all-ages events that are open to the public at The Rotunda. These events have run the gamut from traditional Indian music to DIY punk shows, experimental electronic showcases to puppet-making workshops, political film screenings to dance theater, etc. In effect, The Rotunda has become a safe, friendly, bustling hang-out for all types of art and the people who create it. The Foundation is looking for artists, crafters and so on to sell their stuff - anything goes - from original, handmade art & photographs, crafts and baked yummies, to vintage goodies, used books and records, clothing, those rollerskates you outgrew long ago, and other neat stuff. Renting a space is cheap - just $10 for (1) space - 6 ft. across x 3 feet deep (includes depth of table). Bring your own table/display - or contact Gina Renzi in advance to rent (1) table for $2. Your $10 rental fee goes straight to The Foundation at The Rotunda and you keep all the cash for stuff you sell! Please reserve your space by November 30th. Contact Gina for payment details and deadlines. Of course, if you want to donate a percentage of your sales that day to The Rotunda, that would be swell too. Donations for The Rotunda's sale table are also being accepted. Suggested donations include books, educational materials, records, cds, tapes, dvds, videos, electronic equipment, musical gear, "music, tv, and movie memorabilia," artwork, crafts, home decor, home supplies (kitchen, bath, etc.), hardware, clothing (please wash and dry before donating), toys, office supplies, art and craft supplies. To rent a space, arrange a drop-off, or if you have other items you'd like to donate, please contact Gina Renzi at The Rotunda at 215-573-3234. No unsolicited donations, please. Included in the vendor list will be the "Makin It" Crafts Collective, on hand to sell their handmade arts and crafts. Live entertainment will be on-site providing music for the flea market (TBA), and refreshments will be available for the hungry and thirsty. Those who don't find what they're looking for, but still want to contribute to The Rotunda, can leave a donation in the donation jar. The Rotunda is located at 4014 Walnut Street (just off 40th & Walnut, next to the Bridge Movie Theatre & across the street from the Fresh Grocer). For questions and information about the event, please contact Gina at The Rotunda at 215-573-3234/ [EMAIL PROTECTED], or Tricia Gdowik at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Gina Renzi Coordinator The Rotunda 4014 Walnut Street Philadelphia, PA 19104 Tel. : 215-573-3234 Fax : 215-898-2167 http://www.foundationarts.org ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the list named "UnivCity."
