Bruce, I think you're right about the last half of the verse.  Marked with a cowards sword is part of the theme but doesn't rhyme at all with "...And you know you're a man." 
 
I love you're stranded.  I'm going to have to work that in to our domestic repertoire. (The kids are already threatening us with law suits)
