Just wanted to alert the neighbors that thieves are at it again. Yesterday, sometime between 1 and 4 pm, burglars blew off our front door with plastic explosives and removed most of the historically designated fixtures from our charming and elegant old Victorian bungalow. Somehow the bad guys managed to make it over the razor wire on top of the cyclone fence, past the 27 pitbulls and the rabid ferrets.
They took 13 vintage clawfoot bathtubs, the Tiffany stained glass windows from the second and third floors, an original Picasso mosaic wall mural, and most of the wallpaper from the front room. Plus which they took the antique grand spiral staircase, making it difficult for us to reach the second floor when we returned.
Old weird Uncle Ephraim was sleeping in his third floor boudoir during the incident, and awoke just in time to see the thieves escaping with the historical fixtures plus most of our Danish modern furniture in an enormous white trailer.
We have alerted the SHCA, the UCHS, the UCCC, the UCD, President Rodin, and the Clark Park Vigilante Death Squads. Unfortunately we did not have an active security system activated at this time, since we were still shopping around. Can anyone recommend a good security firm real quick, preferably one that uses laserbeam death rays and antipersonnel cluster weapons of doom?
Thanks.
