First choice: Elk Neck State Park in Cecil County, MD. Decent group sites. A large, clean, charming park with two different kinds of Upper Chesapeake swimming environments, miles of wooded trails, great bicycling, a well-stocked camp store. Second choice: Atsion State Park in the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. A nice clean lake amidst the fascinating woods of the Wharton State Forest. Major option: canoe runs on the Batsto and Mullica Rivers, marvelous black-water canoe runs. I know Elk Neck is on the MD State Psrk system website.
