Fresh Grocer, a suburban Philadelphia-based chain of four grocery stores,
said Monday it has spent $11 million to open a new store in West
Philadelphia.

The 52,000-square-foot store at 5601 Chestnut St. will open March 19. It
will have 200 employees.

Fresh Grocer, which was founded in 2001 and is based in Drexel Hill, Pa.,
has other stores in Drexel Hill, Southampton and the University City

The stores specialize in prepared and fresh foods.
