Is there a local community group specifically interested in representing interests of tenants in the area? I know there are many homeowner organizations, and homeowner-dominated block associations, etc. But on some issues, the concerns of tenants aren't going to mirror the concerns of landlords and homeowners, and lately I've been feeling that perhaps tenants should put up more of a unified front where applicable.
