Wilma: I would agree with your if I had told Kyle that he and Mr. Hugs should go out and kill songs birds together or off some chipmunks. That I did not.
There is a time and a place for a dog, and apparently for some, I time and a place for a cat. Mr. Hugs and Kyle?? It just does not seem right. I see Kyle strolling down the sidewalk with a big, beautiful Golden on a leash, the dog periodically glancing up at Kyle with love in his/her eyes, and Kyle returning that gaze with a look of manly pride. If I see a picture of Mr. Hugs outside on a damn leash with Kyle in tow, well I think I will just about cry. Jonathan A. I happen to represent that remark! Traditionally, men are are hunters. Women are gatherers and planters. For example, we all love corn but do we know that all forms of edible corn were cultivated by Native American women, including popcorn. If one wants to see a domestic killing machine, a cat is your best bet. Certain studies aside, cats hunt even if they are fed and they keep the population of rodents and varmints under control who would overrun us if they were not there. I have grown up with dogs (all mixed breeds) and although I know there are "ratter dogs", usually houses have house mice. Perhaps dogs do not regard house mice as important, but I do. Cats are skilled hunters and it is wonderful to see them seek and make a kill! Their technique is exactly like a lion, tiger, leopard or cheetah. Dogs are descended from the Wolf and look quite different from their main ancestors through breeding. Could one mistake a Scottie for a Wolf? Cats do not look nor behave so different from their wild counterparts. So, if men want killers and be consider a hunter and killer, a cat is the way to go. If men want something they can dominate, a dog is the way to go. -No hard feelings, Wilma On 4/14/04 12:43 PM, "Jonathan Cass" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hmm, maybe I have misjudged Kyle -- let's recap: > (1) not married, but does have "little lady;" > (2) able to convince little lady to clean house which she does not own. > (3) participates (one as a host) to TWO back-to-back drinking engagements > lasting until 2 a.m. on a school night. > > Kyle, I apologize.
