4.9 million of women of childbearing age have unsafe levels of mercury in their blood and one out of every six newborns have elevated mercury in their blood which can lead to brain disease. Mercury contamination has become so widespread that 44 states - including PA - warn residents to limit their consumption of fish.
Greenpeace invites mothers, children, and families to take part in our newest national campaign to protect our health from mercury pollution being emitted from power plants and to promote renewable energy.
Volunteer to be part of our program to determine your own mercury level and join Greenpeace at the Philadelphia kick-off event on May 4th at the Francis Salon at 2045 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.
