Yesterday I noticed a liquor license transfer notice in the window of
the old Urban Outfitters warehouse on the 4000 block of Locust. The new owner was listed as "UC Strikes" but the notice didn't say anything
about what the property will be used for, except that there will be a
restaurant involved.

Based on the name and the size of the building, could it be a bowling
alley? Anyone have the scoop?

I heard the bowling-alley story last night, oddly enough: I was at the Rotunda, discussing its use as a meeting space for a group I'm working with. While talking about Penn's expansion history, I asked about the plans for the old urban Outfitters building, and I was told that the bowling alley scheme was a possibility.

Hey, I'm up for it. Couldn't understand why they didn't use the old Acme for a bowling alley, but there ya go.
