This incident is truly without explanation.
God is the only one who would forgive such
an act.

One possibility is that the man was doing a
chore for her while she was gardening, maybe
moving dirt or debris in her yard. He could
also have been someone who had done handyman
work for her in the past, fixed a sink, moved
a piece of furniture, she may have been familiar
with him in some way (remember, we are probably
not hearing the complete story). She may have
offered him a glass of water because he was working
and it was hot outside, not uncommon or unusual.
It could explain how he ended up inside of her home
using a back door.

There are a number of guys looking for odd-jobs
going door-to-door, I don't recommend using them
without a recommendation from a friend, you can end
up being scammed for money, robbed, or a victim of
violence.

As tragic as this incident is, I hope it will make
us more cautious.

S.

Ok, if there are those alleyways, then that's different. Over here on
this side of baltimore, there are no alleys, and if someone came up in
the backyard they would only be up to no good.

I'm not trying to make this into something she did wrong: I'm trying to
understand how someone brings a stranger back to their backyard, and
then opens the back door in order to get them water.

That wouldn't happen with the layout of the houses over hear near De
Sales church. I guess this senseless act makes a bit more sense now, at
least how it came about.
