That weird 'Dining room' at SE corner of 45th and Larchwood. It's a twin that has the first floor as the restaurant, the upper floors are rooms for rent.

It was like going into someone's house for dinner: the front rooms were little tables, the back was the kitchen. The food was good. It was weird however when the boarders would come traipsing thru the door and up into their rooms, but I guess that is what's known in the trades as 'atmosphere.'

Andy's description of Marigold was quite accurate.

It WAS someone's house you were visiting for dinner.

That's why it was called the Marigold Dining Room... not the Marigold Restaurant.

Melani has provided the history details.
