Unless the car is in bad shape, you might not be able to report it as an abandoned vehicle. Info and an on-line report form are available here:

From the police website:
A vehicle may only be reported as abandoned if it meets one of the following legal criteria:
* The vehicle is both INOPERABLE and has been left unattended on PUBLIC PROPERTY for more than forty-eight (48) consecutive hours. or;
* The vehicle has remained ILLEGALLY on public property for a period of forty-eight (48) consecutive hours. or;
* The vehicle does not have a VALID registration, license plate, certificate of inspection or title AND has been left unattended on, or along, a PUBLIC HIGHWAY. or;
* The vehicle has remained on PRIVATE PROPERTY without the consent of the property owner or person in control of the property for more than forty-eight (48) consecutive hours.

There's a car that has been parked outside my house for about 3 weeks now. I saw a young (ie undergrads?) couple park it one night and it hasn't moved since. While I'm all about alternative forms of transportation, leaving your car permanently in front of someone else's house seems wrong to me. This wouldn't be such a big deal but with 2 apartment buildings on our street, parking is somewhat of a premium these days.
Since I figure this isn't a new "problem" I figured I see what you all have to say before I report this as an abandoned vehicle.
