anticdote: i the DNC has been parked outside the bookstore at penn for weeks
now, recently while leaving the bookstore i heard one of them utter the
familar phrase "Hi, would you like to help get George W. Bush out of
office?" to a woman and her son behind me. The woman barked "No! Stay away
from my son!" and as we were crossing the street she said in an irritated
voice "Is _everybody_ in this place a goddamn democrat?"
Actually, they are not. Most of today's Generation Z (or whatever they are calling it now) are in fact NOT in-favor of either Kerry or the Democratic party. The news media keeps the stories well buried, but they occasionally let one slip through under the guise of "It's amazing College students are much more Conservative than we expect."
However, the Democratic party simply takes any Black or Youth for granted and assumes they are Democrats. They don't do the same thing with Latinos because they have been badly burned in that community ... getting as many if not more Republican registrations than Democratic ones.
