The top story in Reuters is the record budget deficit.

The highest surplus occurred with $236 Billion ahead at the end of 1999.
Today we are at the nadir (hopefully it won't get any worse) with a
$412.55 billion deficit in fiscal 2004.

14, 2004.
This marks the Bush administration's second-straight record deficit.
