"Government pay for health insurance"-- wait a second, don't we already have
something like that called Medicare?

Jonathan A. Cass
I don't know what the answer is to health care ... but one is needed, and desperately.  I am on Medicare, as I am on SSDI.  I just got a letter today.  If you're on SS you will be getting a 2.7% COPA next year.  However, your monthly Medicare is going from I think $54 a month (around there) to $78.20 a month - that's just Medicare, not including that awful joke of a prescription drug supplement.  And Medicare may, if you go to participating doctors (less and less) get a reimbursement, but Medicare does not pay your out of pocket for seeing doctors, going to the ER, hospital, etc. ... The very things Seniors and disabled people need the most.
