Although Craig gives lip service to being offended by Republican voter suppression and intimidation tactics --  "it is reprehensible and worth a full five years in hard lockup-no deals" -- the fact of the matter is that these tactics are not part of some fringe group of the party, but instead an organized, concerted effort that PERVADES the Republican Party.

I am curious Craig -- what exactly attracts you to Bush?  His historically bad record on the environment?  His flawed decision to invade Iraq rather than concentrating on fighting real terrorists?  The Nixon-like shroud of paranoia and secrecy that pervades his Administration?  Or is it, just that you have benefited from his  massive tax cuts for the rich, and you really don't care about the long term implications of such a fiscally unsound tax policy?

I am obviously not a Republican, but I understand that thinking, intelligent people can be one. But, I don't see how this can translate to supporting George W. Bush, and the Dark Lord, Dick Chaney?  Why? How?  I actually really want to understand.

They also discussed it emerging this month that the director of the Bush campaign in the NE USA, Jim Tobin, in New Hampshire in 2002 in a close Senate race conspired to jam a phone line set up by Democrats to help disabled voters and others needing rides to the polls.

If this is true, it is reprehensible and worth a full five years in hard lockup-no deals, and lesser sentences for his little helpers. Plus, he loses his right to vote. I don't think any of us will disagree this man is a scumbag, and victimizing the handicapped! Probably a repeat offender, this was just the time he was caught.

I would be interested to hear if Craig can provide examples of comparable public record criminal vote fraud by Democrats.  Or if he can refute the stories above.

I will look into it, but tonight is a big night. Either way, either side will question the veracity of the reporting source.
