All you West Philly punkers take note...

***
Earlier this year, Gogol Bordello, NYC's renegade band of gypsy madpeople
peeled the paint off the walls at 15th & South's Tritone, where nearly 250
crazed fans crammed into the sweaty, sold-out space for a performance by
this "gang of Ukrainian/Russian ethno-punk terrorists", as described by
Billboard magazine. About 100 people were turned away at the door.

For their triumphant return to Philadelphia, in support of the new album,
"Gogol Bordello vs. Tamir Muskat" (which has been getting dripping wet
reviews), we had to search high and low for a venue that could withstand the
mania, decibels, and frenetic oom-pahcity of one Ukrainian singer, a Russian
violinist, an Israeli guitarist, a Russian accordianist, an Israeli
saxophonist, a Floridian drummer, and two lovely dancing girls of
indeterminate origin.

So join the mustachioed frontman Eugene Hutz and his band of bizarre
proportions and pedigree for a one-night-only engagement at South Street's
Theater of Living Arts, marking the end of Gogol Bordello's US tour. Also
appearing is Philadelphia's own Kandy Whales, whose sound was characterized
by the Philadelphia Weekly as "menacing techno anthems" and "glitzy gothy
cha-chas about 'wet polyester'", and that was before they added the horn
section.

This show sold out last time around, so buy you're tickets in advance
(you'll also save some ruble).
