What escaped me is the logic of jumping to liberals becoming neocons or the relationship of guns to the U.S. Tax Code.  A conservative position on this listserv is a useful balance, but a rant is just, well, a rant.
Well, the shame of this is, those with a sense of humor responded off list.
 
Does your employer have a violence in the workplace policy? Even the NHL now punishes this kind of talk. Thank God we Americans finally took control of the Canadian national sport and made it safe for our Stateside consumption.
 
Personally, I like a little regular violence. What's your excuse for ranting about a non-rant?
