Damn.  We have oil heat, and we paid a total of $1,000 last year.  We have a
three-story house, at the end of a row.

Then again, when we bought the house in the spring of 2003 we replaced all our
windows with low E argon gas filled double paned windows, and we had the crawl
space filled with insulation, and we had the basement air sealed.  I think
these things have saved us thousands of dollars in heating bills.

Also, we tend to keep the thermostat around 65 degrees & just put a sweater if
it gets too chilly.
