Dear Liz, Although I understand your humor and jest, ultimately it is not funny. Which is exactly why I take the recent Presidential Election as a personal affront.
How dare those "Red States" who have not been the direct victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks, override those of us who lost family and friends? Moral values, indeed! Who would bomb a crop circle or a silo? They are not in danger but most of the potential terrorist cells are in middle America. (i.e. Michigan) The Red States are sneering at the loss of life in the Eastern Seaboard and West Coast of which we are still trying to get over. Since most of us voted for the other guy and stand most to be hit yet again, cannot the rest of our country at least be empathetic?
