Paddy Wagon could be Patty wagon.
Paddy comes from Patrick (Padraic) making either spelling correct, but
pronunciation should be Paddy.

Given the boys at Penn; and the grammar issues; and the woman in
question; maybe the other team should just be
        Paris Hilton's little Pr----

"PHILADELPHIA THEN & NOW" gives many examples of things that look better
today, than when built.
The Musical Fund Hall of 1824 is much more elegant as an apartment
building with windows.
The Walnut Theater was improved when it lost its rococo crown.
The Edgar Allan Poe home was improved with some Disneyfication
(contrasting shutters, replacing a little used street with a brick
floored courtyard, wrapped in a modern Iron fence.
The Ben Franklin Bridge and the Historic Boathouses have been improved
with modern lighting and paint techniques.
My greatest objections to new construction Include:
1. Sometimes it does not go far enough. Trying to be all things to all
people can create a mess. Clear away enough of the old so that the new
can be seen and appreciated.
2. Often, and especially at Penn the land is obliterated. A major asset
to vertical construction is the ability to spare green space. And a
major asset of the spared green space (in addition to opportunities for
natural light & health) is a chance to step back and appreciate the
building. When Smith Hall was replaced by the Vagalos building, I felt
the bigger loss was of the vista down locust walk, not of the building
itself.
I would much rather see buildings leveled for the new technology high
school, than sacrifice a big chunk of Fairmount Park.

Was it another Freudian slip, or our we still trying to redesign the
local class system between those who pay taxes and those who don't. Even
if one ignores the reality that the average Penn student probably comes
from a family that pays a heck of a lot in taxes, there is still value to
be found in many of the folks who don't currently pay taxes. We should
be enjoying and encouraging the contributions that can be made, by all
and not just lauding the Tax Payers.
