Dear Elected Official:

I am outraged that the University of Pennsylvania's plans
demolition of the Convention Hall and Commercial Museum
buildings in University City. I agree with saving Convention
Hall and the Commercial Museum from destruction. I believe a way
must be found to reuse the shell of the buildings.

As someone who appreciates buildings as historical landmarks, I
urge the retention of the Convention Hall and also, Commercial
Museum. Surely, these buildings can be reused rather than
demolished? Both buildings have gorgeous exteriors that have
been Philadelphia landmarks for generations.

As a taxpayer, it greatly disturbs me that public funds are
being employed for a project in which two historic civic
buildings are to be destroyed without examining the various
options for adaptive reuse.

Thank you
