Man shot in the nose
in West Philly robbery
A West Philadelphia man was shot in the nose yesterday during a robbery on Pine Street near 45th, police said.
The 48-year-old man was shot about 6 p.m. by two men in their late teens while on his way to pick up a vehicle at 45th and Pine.
The pair took $100 and the victim's wallet, said Detective Marc Schade, of Southwest Detectives.
The victim, who lives in the area, was in stable condition last night at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and "in pretty good spirits," Schade said.
Police declined to release the man's name, saying the investigation is ongoing.
