Actually there's a 24/7 number. A neighbor recently had a "wild" dog
living under his porch making it dangerous to enter/exit his house. He
called repeatedly and after 3 days the dog "vanished." He never knew if
Animal Control finally showed up or if the dog just left.

A few months ago one of our neighbors saw a cat killed by a pair of
off-leash off-person dogs on 46th and locust. Maybe put a can of mace
in your pocket too.
