For whatever reason, I can't post to the univcity listerv. Could you post this for me, please?

Something similar happened last year on 47th and Springfield. This should
have never gone this far.
I have an idea. I think that there's some people who are seriously bothered
by stray or feral cats. Some others are concerned about the well being of
these cats. Why don't we get together as a community and do something about
it? We can start a "controlled" stray cat population. The organization
P.A.W.S. can help by providing humane traps and FREE spayings/neuterings for
all the cats that we can trap, not to mention yearly checkups and
immunizations. All we have to do is have an organized system where some
people can trap the cats, others can take them to the vet, and some can
provide one-day indoor care for them to recover. I'll be glad to keep
records.
Let me know if you're interested. I'd be glad to coordinate the effort.
Clara.

I was speaking to a neighbor at 49th and Beaumont, who told me her two indoor/outdoor cats were poisoned this past week.
The two feral kitties that generally hung out with the recently deceased look fine, so I'm not sure if this was an intentional or personal poisoning, or if it was an accidental thing, but it's disturbing enough that I thought it bore mentioning. :/ ----
