Not to burst the feel good lawyer bubble, but actually, Lee and Carlos had
insurance coverage through their store and their carrir paid for their defense
(i.e., my fees).
For what it is worth, I did win some muckity muck award last year for my pro
bono service through the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Indigent. I
have developed this bizarre speciality in representing clients who purchased a
car only to have the dealer or tag service not transfer the title into their
name leaving them the equitable, but not titled owner of the vehicle.
