good freakin luck. so far they've leveled the house _next_ to me, the one across the street, as well as a direct hit on jainie blackwell's 1972 mercedes disel turbo. i think it's more of a pill-popping party than it is a mortar attack. you'll see bender swaggering around waving a rusty sword in an ill fitted napoleon bonaparte costume and lyndon johnson mask bellowing "fire! fire! lay it on boys!" -- which in and of itself is almost worth the price of admission, but their effectiveness, to date, has been nil. unless you count getting that car out from in front of my driveway.....

A bunch of us are going around to blow up Cassidy's house sometime next
month. Don't know how newsworthy you consider that. Interesting angle is
that we're going to use mortars sited in the vacant lot at 46th and
Market. Sort of half target practice half community service event. If we
can obtain several F-16s from the National Guard armory we may do a
little precision aerial bombardment and strafing. I'll let you know when
we get a firm date.
