Thanks, everyone, for the advice and good wishes for Scrunch the Cat! After all of the drama of yesterday, he finally came out on Thursday night, drank some water and ate some chicken that I hand-fed (and ordered as special *take-out just for him* from Accu-Pizza). He is purring and eating and grooming normally today. The vet's office was open this morning, and they ordered some topical antibiotics for him, which we should get tomorrow. You put the antibiotic in his ear instead of trying to force a pill down his throat. I know it is hard to believe, but my 12-pound cat is *very* strong-willed, and it is beyond my abilities to force him to do something he is dead-set against.
Sorry for all the drama - I am a new cat guardian, and I guess I am well on my way to becoming a crazy cat lady. I am staying home from the Temple Teach-In today, so you won't see the discussion on "Christianity's Impact on American Society" advertised on this list today! However, we will be back on Friday, March 18, with "The Iran Hostage Crisis and America's First Encounter with Radical Islam." Based on the recent age survey, I know that the vast majority of you remember the 144 days of "America Held Hostage"!
