Don't you people know anything????  It's called CAPITAL FORMATION!!!  It's an ESSENTIAL PROCESS in capitalism.  We saw it in Russia (Yukos oil), and it's been going on here for centuries.

You weaselly liberals have some idea that life should be fair and theft should be illegal?  Get with it.  Theft may not be in the constitution, but its tradition.  Those in power form capital, and those without power get taxed at higher rates to allow for capital formation.  This is the way it's always been, and I see no reason it shouldn't continue.  You think that poor people are going to organize themselves to stop it?  Puhleeeeeze!  They're just as greedy as anyone else.  If they got power, they'd do the same thing.  There is no solidarity of the masses in this country.  Just solidarity of the thieves!

so because the republicans in DC do it, it is ok for Street and his cronies to rob the city blind? i guess it was a good thing that the Hispanics in Camden got to rob that city for awhile (because lord knows the average Camden citizen doesn't need good government) because they should get their fair share, too?

Subject: Re: [UC] FYI: "Pay to Play" Legislation in Trouble

One thing that always puzzles me about this local Republican slime campaign orchestrated by Karl Rove is that "pay-to-play" is the name of the game in Washington politics, more among Republicans than Democrats, but definitely the name of the game.

Halliburton has been paying to play for years, and they get tiny slaps on the wrist. Tom DeLay is the poster boy for pay-to-play, and the House Republicans change the "ethics" rules so that he can continue in his seat even after he is indicted.

But when a Democratic (and most significantly, an African-American) local administration tries to get into the game, there are all these hysterical assholes howling in chorus about "pay-to-play", "pay-to-play", as though this is some particularly vile vice that the darkies have just thought up.
