No, really. I am looking for a few middle-aged Chinese people who lived
through the Cultural Revolution in China, and who would allow me to interview
them about their experiences on videotape. It's part of my dissertation - I
created this dynamic video engine that lets you encode video clips in a
database, and then create an interface where people who visit the site can
enter
a keyword associated with the subject of the video, and the system
automatically pulls up all the matching clips and plays them together on the
fly.
You can see an example here, based on interviews we did with fans of The Lord
of the Rings:

(I may have an opportunity to create Countless Stories: The Star Wars Saga when
the last movie opens on May 19). At any rate, I would love to put together a
demo to go with my dissertation before I hand it in. If anyone on this list has
any suggestions about where I might find a population of middle aged Chinese
here in Philadelphia, I would really appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Susan Jacobson
