Howdy,

Thanks to everyone for gym recommendations! Actually, I tried the FIT gym
earlier in the summer, and while the place was spotless (really, I was
impressed),
it did not have the machines that I was looking for. It's great for weights,
however.

It came down to Philly Sports Club and the Bellevue, for those of you who are
curious. I was all set to join Philly Sports Club on Market and 17th, which is
really nice and really clean, when Karen Heenan invited me to check out the
Bellevue. mmmmm giant whirlpool. oooooo heavy bags. ahhhhh personal TVs
on the treadmills (actually, PSC has TVs too). It turns out Temple is
negotiating a
corporate rate with the Bellevue, so that clinched it and I joined. I have to
work
off the fat that has accumulated on my butt while I have been sitting on it and
typing my dissertation! (April 15 is my ETA)
