Recently, Bender postulated the participants of the list are either old or
act old. Apparently, you are not going to spend your beer money at Home Depot
buying new trash cans? Last week, I picked up a decent 50 gallon wheeled can at
Kmart marked down from $21.00 to $14.00. Perhaps by breaking one wheel off of
it, it will no longer be attractive to thieves. Until such time,
it maintains a place of honor in my living room, confounding the
dogs.
I remember a time when we beat the hell out of the neighbors' trash cans to
see how long it would take the PPD to arrive. Now we know that wont bring them.
The scene of that criminality was right across the street from the former home
of the College of Physicians. What with UPenn developing $300 K condos and
a $1 MM single family, there, I guess the UPPD will have to start
responding to such quality of life crimes. There will also be a resultant
decrease in the sales of used golf clubs at the Second Mile; bad for the used
auto glass business.
Another way to enhance your youthful image may be to engage in anarchy. If
you go out drinking the night before trash day, you have a wonderful excuse to
crush neighborhood trash cans on the way home. Pete will develop a new
bare-assed stick figure logo for the UCD Trashers. Lis can
develop designs for permanent curbside trash can corrals, which tastefully
reflect the architectural motif of any specific block.
When special K starts complaining about being herded to the beat of a new
HD like issue, you can steal the lids from the dumpster at his in excess of four
unit buildings. I will put up the money for you to pay one of your neighborly
streets people to dump them in Bender's back yard, while he is attending a
performance at the Rotunda, with Gina's penguin cat.
You understand, I do not drink much anymore, but you have a good time.
Hear?
Ciao,
Craig
