i got home yesterday after shopping to discover that someone had thrown a christmas tree on my porch -- about forty days too late to be of much use to me. it's now in my driveway. is there some way i'm supposed to dispose of this thing? (as opposed to hauling it into the middle of the street and setting it alight, or dragging it down to osage and throwing it onto someone elses porch, which is my first thought). do i have to call the city and tell them i have a tree or can i just leave it out for regular trash collection? i seem to recall in the past there was some sort of special christmas tree removal day where they'd come by with a woodchipper and chop your tree to mulch and then back the truck into the mill creek or something.....
