I got up at 5 AM to stuff plastic eggs, to leave candy and some stuffed
animals in the hedge row that wraps our corner.
I hope to treat kids (and delight their families) with the surprises of
color, sweet and random kindness.

So even though I was seen with Tony (and Roger) at THHGTHG at Curio
Theater last night, please know we've had a few hours apart.
I can't speak for Sharrieff's early (or very late) hours.
;-)

Neighbors, if you want to stop by our home, at 4611 Springfield, this
bird song filled Easter Morning, there should be 100's of treats peeking
from flower pots and foliage and hanging from the fence. Everything is
individually wrapped and than encased in plastic eggs, or is a plastic
toy or holiday themed pencil, so things should be safe from ants and
squirrels for a while. Feel free to bring your kids, and encourage them
to take only one or two items, so that the greater number of kids can be
served.

De Sales attracts lots of families, and many are recent immigrants or
struggling financially, so Larry and I like to make sure they have access
to the tradition of egg hunting. We are the closest residence, and
experience has shown us that kids pouring out of church delight in the
treats. It feels right that all children are invited, and limited to one
or two items, so that it is not "charity" but shared fun.

Neighbors Sarah and Rohan Marley, remembered our efforts from years past
and dropped off stuffed animals and a big basket for distributing them.
If anyone else has new or lightly used, holiday themed toys and wants to
add them to the collection during the day, feel free to do so. You don't
have to ring my bell, just pop them into the hedgerow.
Anything left over will be delivered to Second Mile Center or, if small
and washable, saved for next year.

So, why have I let myself get sucked into the vortex of these list
posting?
My intention to invite seems to have become a gateway to the UnivCity
show.

Best!
Liz
