That's easy, you build up your frame a little higher and make the sidewalk thicker. They don't have to be perfectly level either. None of these sidewalks in Philly are. It's just a little bit more material usage, but in the end, like in most situations, a little more investment, patience and work put into the project makes it more worthwhile and longer lasting.
