I am saying is there are multiple forces out there at large. How do we identify them and protect our environment? Many of the locals rely on this listserv to stay informed. I am suggesting we begin to organize our safety information and efforts in a way which will get to the source of the problems, begin to identify them and create a community presence (fixing broken windows) to push away many of the random acts of assault and vandalism or at least have a plan in place for when something happens. I guess we can just call John Fenton..right? Right now I think many of us are just enjoying the utopia a bit too much
and we are afraid to admit we live in a changing urban environment which will test our awareness every chance it gets! Fear is not good for sales right? Well the lack of fear will get you killed! Heads up? SHARRIEFF AGREES WITH BRUCE!! :-) But on the serious side of things. Regardless of opinions about what we think happened, we need to be more organized in our environment. We can't strictly rely on this listserv as a protection any longer. Now I'm really puzzled. Sharieff, I though you suggested yesterday that the *EARLIER* West Philadelphians were rising up against the *NEWCOMER* University Cityites by breaking car windows. Are you now suggesting we should organize a townwatch to quell violence perpetrated by the *REAL* West Philadelphians, onto the *FERN BAR WANNABE* University Cityites? Whose said are we on, anyway?
