Yes ..thank you Tony.

I agree with Tony's statements, the NID was never discussed and it would
be pure speculation on anyone's part to predict what actions
Councilwoman
Blackwell would take.

It was (d), Al. The motions came from the floor.

And it wasn't specifically about the NID, which is of no relevance to
the UCD services currently spearheaded in the community by John Fenton.
The meeting made clear these UCD services have been warmly appreciated
by many community groups. But there were also grievances about UCD,
which people didn't go into in detail -- in part because Glenn Bryan
firmly steered groups away from these issues as too far off topic for
that particular meeting, which had a previously established agenda that
had nothing to do with UCD.

The "objective" of such a meeting, I suppose, would be to elicit
community concerns and desiderata about UCD in particular, or any other
special service district.for University City, in a forum not shaped by
UCD itself.

It's hard to say what its deliverable would be, although it would
certainly carry some weight in Councilwoman Blackwell's eyes.

The postings about the recent "First Thursday" meeting made if fairly
clear that the message between the lines of Councilwoman's presentation
was that the NID initiative is dead.

However, there were a few things posted about the possibility of a
"community meeting" on the topic. It wasn't at all clear who wanted such
a meeting:
a) Mrs Blackwell
b) Penn/UCD
c) people in the community based on what they might have thought before
the Councilwoman's presentation,
d) people in the community based on what they might have thought after
the Councilwoman's presentation.
e) other

Also, dependent on the answer to the above, what would be the objective
and the deliverable of such a meeting?

Always at your service & ready for a dialog,
