Here, here Doc! I try not to respond to Al, but I didn't hear anything regarding its demise. (and how does an idea die?--Perhaps a question for our poet?)
I heard KYW report that a bill will probably "die" in the Senate, and that it won't be voted on until 1 week after the election in January. How do they know for sure? How does Al? I'm sorry Al, but I don't believe you (or you are misinformed), especially when people are still talking about it. You are known as a scare monger and I am NOT a fearful person. > The NID is dead. Al, you keep saying this as if you know it for truth. It seems to me that the NID is only dead when (1) UCD withdraws their efforts or (2) the vote occurs and the NID fails. The Councilwoman also has the ability to kill (or at least block) the NID but it's my understanding that she has repeatedly said she will do what her constituents want. Without a vote, it's not clear what her constituents do want. Can you please clarify your repeated assertion? If you did previously clarify this for others, please excuse me.
