Dear list, After I could not find any news report about an armed car jacking on Wed. night in Philadelphia, I decided to go to the 18th district and find out the details. Neither the Lt. nor the community affairs officer I've met were present.
The officer at the window searched for crimes committed Wed. night at 44th and Larchwood. There was 1 incident. IT WAS AN ABANDONED CAR!!!!!!! No armed car jacking was reported to the police at 44th and Larchwood. The police officer asked me about the individual posting this information. I plan to return and give them a copy of Mr. West's post when I can bring this directly to the Lt. I suppose the officer could have made a mistake searching, and I will certainly give all of you an update later. There was another officer present and she also had not heard of any armed car jacking. Would this have failed to be covered in the papers or local TV as well? Take care everyone, I hope no one was frightened about the report of these 2 armed black men.
