I am livid. I just stumbled across this list - _http://www.ucbid.net/supporters.pdf_ (http://www.ucbid.net/supporters.pdf) – of BID supporters and found my name on it! I am outraged. I have never supported the BID. I have never given a penny to UCD or BID supporters. I am absolutely mystified as to how my name ended up on this list. If anyone knows, I’d like an explanation. I sent an email to the UCD website and to Wendell Lewis demanding to be removed, but I wanted to state for the record here that I do not and have never supported the BID and am outraged by this misappropriation of my name. Maybe this is somebody's idea of a joke or a "third column" sabotage effort. There are at least a few other names on it of people and organizations who I know personally do not support the NID, or are actively opposed to it. However, _http://www.ucbid.net_ (http://www.ucbid.net/supporters.pdf) -- the "home page" for the list, appears to be a genuine UCD site. The NID, of course, is a dead issue -- so this is really just an academic question anyway. Still, if anyone finds him- or herself on the list and shouldn't be there, make sure that Wendell Lewis is apprised in writing of your demand to be removed immdiately. It wouldn't hurt to copy Councilwoman Blackwell's office, too. Also, if you know of someone who's on the list -- probably because they were told a bunch of half-truths about "clean and safe" and "doing your share" and didn't check into the facts, you might let them know that their names are being used for nefarious purposes by a bunch of folks who don't know their attempt at hegemony has already been tried and found wanting.
