Well Al, hope is a good thing. But from my experience, once Penn Real Estate knows that there will be significant community opposition to their "towering" over West Philadelphia; they take a different path. Ususally, a delay lets their plans go off the community's radar. They look for other paths to worm through and also intensify the efforts for complete secrecy. How long has it been since we've heard about BID, yet Lussenhop and Mel are still listed on a BID steering committee? And the community has still not gotten an answer to the specific question about how they got on this committee. And I wonder when UCD is going to release the results of the internal investigation about their violation of federal law? Of course, I'm joking about that! So I'm going to join you and be hopeful while keeping my eyes and ears open.
