In my semi-finished attic, there is not insulation on the ceiling.
Subsequently, in the summer the attic gets very hot and in the winter
very cold.
There is blown-in insulation between the third floor and the attic, but
I am wondering if there I could/should install batting between the
joists of the roof? I have read of the issues with vapor barriers when
installing insulation; I am more concerned with the ROI from this type
of insulation and any issues others have experienced with this.
Does anyone have this type of insulation in place? Has anyone had this
done recently and noticed a difference after insulation?
I've tried Google but most of the information focuses on installing
insulation across the floor of unfinished attics, or installing batting
in a cathedral ceiling environment.
Any experiences with this in these Victorian houses would be most
appreciated.
