I read on the listserv that that bully, Tony West, is no longer an officer at FOCP Congratulations!!!! Make sure he isn't still using your association name as a member of UCD committees! If you would like my help in the post West era, let me know. As you know, I have studied the problems of civic associations for years. Your civic association along with the President of SHCA finally destroyed my extensive volunteer work in Clark Park. So I turned my attention elsewhere
"Extensive?" Only thing I can recall Glenn doing, in the years I've known him, was demand that the FoCP cater to whatever whims he'd worked up that week. His short term on the Outreach Committee was notable for a) his utter failure to establish contact with any stakeholder group, b) his demands that we focus on publicizing a defunct "Quality of Life" committee and c) his accusing Tony of performing some kind of cover-up when we couldn't understand what Outreach had to do with this.
I like and respect many of you. Your association has taken a beating because of West's abuses. Whether you kicked him out like I requested or not, congratulations. Those of you on the list should show the others what a bullying jackass he is showing himself to be.
Tony served on the Board, as President, and as Past President, and he needed a break. When he was on the Board, he ran the Outreach Committee and established better ties with the stakeholder groups (no thanks to Glenn, who clearly wanted to sabotage these efforts). He got our membership rolls on a better footing, and did a lot of data entry to fix that problem. As President, he also established the Dog Committee, which examined a controversial community issue carefully and thoroughly. He also ran the Large Events committee, which continues to cooridnate the work of such groups as the Uhuru Flea Markets, the Woodland Avenue reunion, the May Fair, the Best Fest, and the Music and Arts festivals.

Tony is almost always out there with our volunteers, planting trees and cleaning up. He was a major force for getting people to attend the Party for the Park-- which is how we _pay_ for the maintenance of the park. He has also put in a lot of hours at the Farmer's Market table, ordering and selling merchandise, selling memberships, and simply talking to hundreds of people over the past few years.

I can't think of too many people who've done more for the park in the past few years. The obvious fact is that Tony West has done an _immense_ amount of good work for Clark Park.

As for Glenn... well, all I see is a record of narcissism, self-regard, posturing, sour fantasy, pathetic attempts to become a "bully," and his utter failure as any kind of "activist."
