Hi all,

The West Philly Tool Library has been "unofficially" open every Saturday
morning from 9-12 since last September. But now that Spring is around the bend,
we're having our Grand Opening. So come say hello and enjoy food and fun at our
open house on Saturday, March 15, from 12 noon to 5:00pm.

The West Philly Tool Library, located at 4620 Woodland Avenue, is a nonprofit
organization sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition.
Members can join for $20 per year and can borrow as many tools as they need to
fix up their houses, tend their yards and gardens, maintain their blocks, or
build new projects. There are no other fees or costs to members. We
currently lend over 250 tools, including circular saws, cordless drills, hoes,
rakes, shovels, extension ladders, pruners, painting supplies and much more.

We’re thankful for the support of Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, the
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Friends of Clark Park, Guy Laren,
Woodland Building Supply, Spruce Hill Community Association, Philly Car Share,
the Fels Fund, the Sparkplug Foundation, dozens of others who have provided us
with technical and emotional support, and the 60 neighbors who have already
joined as paid members.
For more information, including a complete list of our current tools, check
out our website at www.westphillytools.org.

 Thanks,
 Michael Froehlich
