Come 1/2 hour early to browse books, have tea and socialize!
Agenda includes:
+Check-in with voter registration efforts & support for ward leaders/committee
people.
+Discussion on local candidate endorsements.
+Prep for March 29th citywide conference @ Drexel.
+Status of health care bills in Harrisburg. (vote was expected this week!)
Can't attend? Plug IN! We're looking for volunteers to "adopt a block" for
purposes of going door to door to help people register to vote. This will be
going on before and after the primary all the way until fall. We hope to
coordinate with other similar non-partisan efforts so we're not duplicating
effort. For the super-busy among us we ask you commit to canvassing JUST YOUR
OWN BLOCK. There will be training at the March 29th event and at future monthly
meetings. But please sign up for your block ASAP! This is our big project for
the foreseeable future.
