I came across a fun article that may highlight another minus (or is it plus?)
of a hotel near the PENN. It blends history, fantasy, politics and real estate
in a saucy package.
Below is one excerpt that cued me into a mindset and goals of one Hotel manager.
"We are in the business of selling rooms, 'said a former manager of the
Mayflower, speaking on the condition of anonymity as he searches for another
job in the clubby world of fancy hotels. “And the escort services are in the
business of keeping our guests happy.' ”

Best!
