I don't really feel it is my business to suggest a use for other people's property. That's a kind of neighborhood planning game I see no point in playing "Oh, why doesn't somebody open another restaurant for me; but it's got to be a cute little restaurant...." I'm not persuaded by alleged "marketing surveys", whether conducted by UCD or UClist.

Property owners must come up with uses for their property on their own; they are the ones who pay the bills on that property.

If you (or any other neighbor) is prepared to propose an actual business proposition of your own for this property, that they'll back up out of pocket, I'll be as fascinated to read it as I am by the hotel proposal. People who are not so prepared, are unlikely to have any suggestions worth reading.

Copy that, Melani.

so what would you (or melani, or any other neighbor here) suggest for 40th and pine instead of the proposed extended stay hotel for out-of-town guests? (open question)
